Eastern Bluestar is a 1-3 feet erect perennial forming large, multi-stemmed clumps. The narrow, oval leaves turn golden-yellow in the fall. Star-shaped blue tubular flowers appear in loosely congested clusters at the tips of the stems. Â Attracts hummingbirds, hummingbird moths, and butterflies like Mourning Cloak. Prefers part shade and wet to moist, sandy soils.
